PROJECT X The build timeline

Dream it.
05.01.2025
The idea of the build was sparked as I drove across the country from Northern California back to Florida. Taking in the amazing mountain sides, thinking “Man I’d love to ride that area, I thought why not build an aggressive Himalayan 450 that could be ridden from highway to any tight technical single track trails I saw along the way”.
From that moment it was on! Starting to reach out to companies that already supported our programs and others that were interested in future projects I had, the concept we born.
Then Project X began, teaming up with American Racing Design to create a logo was honestly step one. Building a brand around the concept.
You’ll find out how the story behind Project X is bigger than just a bike build for me…. Let’s get to the build process.

Build it.
06.01.2025
Stripping down the brand new Himalayan 450 I picked up from Baxter Cycle in Iowa at the Moto Anatomy Race Shop started June 1st. While my schedule was already packed I began to fit in the build process between AFT events. I designed and fabricated metal parts at The Shop Dayton (MA x RE Race Shop) , shipped parts to our Florida shop, and continued to build relationships and collabs that fit the build, the story, they end goal.
But timing not on our side. We decided the best place to unveil the bike was the 2025 Sturgis Buffalo Chip Get ON! ADV Fest in South Dakota July 17th, which is 2000 miles from Florida and a departure date of July 12th for filming July 15th giving myself a month and a half for the build of Project X.

Ride it.
07.15.2025
2000 miles later, new parts from across the world, bike built, a Real Truck X Fairway Ford truck build, all graphics installed & we made it to South Dakota.
Filming, teaming up with Z from The Buffalo Chip for the first time to create the story of Project X. We did it and you get to see August 3rd!
But we also unveiled Thursday July 17th at the opening evening of the Get On! ADV Fest by Revzilla. We shared our story, the build, the bike. We gained new friends and fans of the brand.
But Friday was the real test. 6 hours of riding in some of the most amazing trails, gravel and paved roads South Dakota has to offer. WE found some of the toughest single trails along the way, not mapped on REVER app, not recently explored. The Himalayan 450X not only handled it but owned it.
